Oculus Provides Cutting Edge Business Data Visualization
Solutions With DirectX 9.0 Toronto, Canada - Dec.
29, 2002
Oculus Info Inc. is providing high-performance
business data visualization solutions using the
December 19 commercial release of the DirectX® 9.0
graphics library. A beta participant with Microsoft
DirectX 9.0 since May 2002, Oculus has been actively
involved with the research and development of two-dimensional
and three-dimensional data visualization solutions
using the Direct3D graphics environment on Windows
2000, Windows XP and the new Microsoft .NET platform.
Using the new Microsoft .NET languages, specifically
C# and VB.NET and the memory managed DirectX libraries,
Oculus will be able to provide high performance
solutions to new and existing customers on the .NET
platform. Leveraging the performance and simplified
application programming interface afforded by the
new libraries, along with the ease of use of these
new .NET programming languages, Oculus can implement
high value, tailored visualization solutions that
enable people to make more accurate, more informed
decisions faster and more cost-effectively. Microsoft®
DirectX® is a set of low-level application programming
interfaces for creating high-performance multimedia
applications. It includes support for two-dimensional
and three-dimensional graphics, sound effects and
music, input devices, and networked applications.
Oculus is the leading provider of innovative
business visualization software solutions for
the Fortune 500, federal government agencies and
third party software companies. The principals
at Oculus have been business visualization designers,
