 Oculus Demonstrates
Financial Visualization at SIA 2004
New York, NY - June 8, 2004
Oculus Info Inc.,
is pleased to be participating at this year's
Securities Industry Association Technology Management
Conference 2004 - the premier information management
event for the financial securities industry.
"Information visualization is particularly important
for the capital markets. Between automation and
regulation there is an increasing need to harness
data to create greater returns," says Richard
Brath, Senior Director of Business Development
at Oculus. "We design and develop financial visualizations
to fit the business. With the right visualization,
people can quickly spot patterns and take action,
which opens new business opportunities."
Oculus visualizations will be seen at a number
of vendor displays this year. At Cantor Fitzgerald
our visualization work adds value to market data
by showing relationships across the trades and
orders of related instruments. Traders benefit
by rapid understanding of the market direction
and are enabled to respond faster to opportunities.
Also, Oculus will be seen at Hewlett-Packard
on the HP Remote Workstation. With HP Remote Workstation
Software, Oculus visualizations can be made more
computationally and graphically intensive and
can be fully interactive in 3D on a thin client.
For example, this means that live, interactive
analysis of hundreds of millions of records is
now conceivable.
Says Robert Fragola, Director of Business Development
at Oculus: "The data are already there, whether
it's market feeds, analytic models, operations,
whatever. The question is what you do with it.
Quite simply, using a properly designed Oculus
visualization on top of financial data provides
strategic visibility into key business processes.
We help people make better decisions faster."
