 Oculus Demonstrates
Financial Visualization at SIA 2005
New York, NY - June 16, 2005
Oculus Info Inc.,
will be presenting as a Microsoft Experience Capital
Markets partner at the Securities Industry Association
Technology Management Conference June 21 to 23.
This is the premier information management event
for the financial securities industry.
"Microsoft's Experience Capital Markets initiative
increases the value of technology to the business,"
says Richard Brath, Senior Director of Business
Development at Oculus. "Using Oculus.NET for Excel
2003 can leverage all the valuable data locked
in spreadsheets to provide immediate value. Trends
and patterns in real-time data become immediately
apparent; and anomalies hidden in risk and portfolio
data are easier to find and analyze."
In Microsoft's booth at SIA, Oculus will demonstrate
example visualizations of Excel spreadsheets for
real-time market monitoring, risk modeling, historical
data analysis, and performance analysis.
"Excel is ubiquitous throughout the financial
markets as a sophisticated platform for collecting,
analyzing and modeling data from multiple sources,"
adds Mike Peters, Partner at Oculus. "Oculus leverages
Excel with easy-to-use visualization. Rapid insight
into spreadsheet data, means faster responses
and more deals done."
The Oculus.NET platform consists of patented
information visualization libraries and frameworks
including the new Excel framework for the rapid
creation of new visualization prototypes and full
projects. For more information about the SIA event:
