 Oculus GeoTime™
Enables Visualization for Concurrent Spatial and
Temporal Analysis
Washington, DC - May 11, 2005 Oculus Info
Inc. announces the release of GeoTime v1.0 for
the concurrent visualization of spatial and temporal
data. With GeoTime, users are empowered to perform
effective and efficient analysis of complex data
over space and time within a single, highly interactive
3D view. This is a unique, patent-pending capability
that allows analysts to detect and understand
data patterns much more quickly than with traditional
analysis tools.
In applications such as supply chain management,
fraud networks, asset control, controlled substances
tracking and criminal investigation, GeoTime eliminates
the need for multiple separate tools and allows
the user to better determine patterns of behavior
and relationships between seemingly unconnected
events and entities. "Analyzing observations over
time and geography is a common task but typically
requires multiple, separate tools." says Bill
Wright, Sr. Partner at Oculus. "With GeoTime,
the dots get connected in the same picture."
Key product features include:
- Rich Object Model enables the separation,
representation and analysis of many types of
data.
- Fused Time/Map Workspace presents data
points in a coordinated representation along
timelines project onto maps.
- Tooltips and Drilldowns to see the
underlying data values and launch other related
documents.
- Link Analysis to isolate segments of
networks.
- 3D Projection to view maps from any
angle and depict terrain elevation data.
- Animation to playback sequences and
see how events unfold.
- Target Trails to track the movement
of people, organizations and objects over time
and space.
